PSSR Certification

PSSR 2000 examination is a formal safety inspection carried out by our Certified Technition on your pressure-system components that fall within the requirements of the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000. The purpose is to help ensure that pressure equipment can operate safely and that risks from stored pressure are properly controlled.

The service can include:

  • Visual inspection of relevant pressure components.

  • Checking safety valves and protective devices.

  • Inspecting the boiler and associated pipework for signs of damage, corrosion or deterioration.

  • Checking operating pressures and safety controls.

  • Confirming the equipment is examined in accordance with the Written Scheme of Examination.

  • Recording the examination results and any defects or recommendations.

  • Issuing the appropriate examination report/certification where the equipment meets the requirements.

A Written Scheme of Examination specifies what parts require examination, the type and frequency of examination, and the safety measures required.

Regular PSSR examination helps businesses demonstrate that their pressure equipment is being managed appropriately, identify potential safety issues before they become serious, and maintain documented evidence of examination by a competent person as per legal requirement.
